5th October 2011
Windsurfing: Felixstowe Manor
Wind Direction: WSW
Wind Stength: F4-6
Surf / Sea State: flat to swell
Air Temperature: warm
Sea Temperature: warm
Weather: warm
Max Speed: 25.8 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 8.3 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Went Manor end launched 5.10pm cross off, wind shadow was small or it came all the way in. Good sail, the Vickers boys were out on 5.7's, Phil, Ian and Vicky on small gear.
Rigged 6.5 which was too much on the outside and spot on in shore. The wind switched a bit more off just after 6.00, and it was getting dark. Just as we started packing up about 6.15 the wind came round and was good, Phil was tempted for the famous last run, but decided too risky so late.
Paul and Roger had it all, and loads of beach and pretty much perfect sea, with great swell and flat in between and very warm.
Went back to car for GPS, but the wind eased a bit.
The NP 6.7M Tempo only clocked 25.8 which was slow. My 6.7M RS S in those conditions was touching 27/28. Guess the fact I can gybe and waterstart easier is the plus..just miss that extra burst of speed
